Farshi Shalwar

Wide-legged courtly trousers, cut long enough to pool on the floor, worn under a short kurti with a dupatta. The most dramatic bottom you can wear this season.

Best for — Mehndi, Sangeet

Lighter Patiala

The same generous pleats in the salwar, cut in georgette and chiffon instead of heavy cotton — so it falls and moves rather than standing away from the body.

Best for — Daily, family functions

Tonal Dressing

Kameez, salwar and dupatta all in one colour family. It reads taller, looks considered, and photographs beautifully.

Best for — Anywhere you'll be photographed

Bell Sleeves & Scalloped Hems

Straight-cut suits getting their detail where it shows — scalloped edges along the kameez and dupatta, with flared or bell cuffs.

Best for — Parties, receptions

Colour-Blocked Anarkali

Fitted bodice, panelled flare, two contrasting colours meeting at the waist — usually finished with mirror work across the yoke.

Wide trousers that flare straight out from the waist in one long sweep, worn with a short kurti and dupatta. Easier to move in than a lehenga and far more forgiving to fit.

Trousers fitted snug to the knee, then a sharp break into a dramatic flare. The gota patti band at that knee join is the whole point of it — worn with a short kurti and dupatta.

This season's soft palette

Our story

It began in Noida — as Phulkari

In 2021, Mrs Kavita Chopra opened a boutique in Noida named after Punjab's own embroidery: Phulkari, flower work. Three years of custom fittings, wedding orders and late nights at the machine were built there.

Then home called. In 2024 the boutique moved to Talwara and became Velvet Vogue — the same hands and the same standards, now cutting for the town it came from.

What carried over was the way of working: nothing off a rack, every measurement taken in person, and a fitting at the end where we keep adjusting until it sits right.

  1. 2021 · Noida
    Phulkari opens in NoidaWhere it started — custom tailoring, bridal orders, and the name taken from Punjab's flower-work embroidery.
  2. 2024 · Talwara
    The move home to TalwaraReopened as Velvet Vogue Boutique at SCF-7/B in Sector 2, with a full custom-design service for western and traditional wear.
  3. 2026 · Today
    Five years of custom fittings5.0 on Google across ten reviews, none below five stars, and a growing following on Instagram.

The final of the ‘Hunt Face of Valentine’s Day’ fashion show was held at City Centre Mall on Main Bazaar in Pathankot, with twenty young men and women competing. Mrs Kavita Chopra was named among the winners and honoured on stage by the guests.

Judged by Dr Jagtej Singh, Dr Ashrit Walia and model Monica Jadua, with Dr K. D. Singh and Dr Lavneel Kamal as chief guests.

    WhatsApp a picture or describe it — or walk into the shop in Sector 2 and we'll talk it through.

  2. Fabric & work

    We show you fabric options and embroidery samples in person, with honest pricing for each before you commit.

  3. Measurements

    Taken in-store. If you've ordered before, we already have yours on file and can begin straight away.

  4. Stitching

    Everyday suits take a few days. Bridal and heavy embroidery need longer — you'll get a firm date up front.

  5. Final fitting

    You try it on and we adjust until it sits right, on you, standing still and moving.
